Cookies Policy | Wildcard Casino

About this Cookies Policy

Wildcard Casino uses cookies and similar technologies to help operate, secure and improve its website. A cookie is a small text file that a website may store on your device when you visit. Cookies allow a website to recognise a device or remember information about a visit. Some cookies are placed directly by Wildcard Casino, while others may be placed by service providers that support website functions.

This policy applies to cookies and similar technologies used on Wildcard Casino websites, pages and digital services where this policy is displayed or linked. It does not necessarily apply to websites operated by third parties, including external websites that may be linked from the website. Those third parties are responsible for explaining their own privacy and cookie practices.

Cookie use may change over time as website features, technologies, legal requirements or service providers change. We may update this policy when appropriate. The current version will be made available on the website, and the effective date may be shown with the policy where relevant.

What cookies do

Cookies can perform different functions. Some are necessary for the website to work, while others help us understand how visitors use the website or remember choices. Similar technologies may include pixels, tags, web storage, device identifiers and software development tools. These technologies may collect information such as browser type, device information, general location, pages viewed, interactions, time spent on a page and technical event information.

Essential cookies

Essential cookies are needed to provide core website functions. They may support account access, session management, security, fraud prevention, navigation and the delivery of requested services. They can also help maintain the integrity of the website and protect users from unauthorised activity. Because these cookies are necessary for basic operation, they may remain active even if optional cookies are declined.

Preference cookies

Preference cookies remember choices or settings that make the website more convenient to use. For example, they may remember language, region, display or consent preferences. If these cookies are disabled, the website may not remember your choices and you may need to enter them again during future visits.

Analytics and performance cookies

Analytics and performance cookies help us understand how the website is used. They may provide information about visits, traffic sources, page performance, errors and general interaction patterns. This information can help Wildcard Casino identify technical issues, improve navigation, assess content and make the website more reliable. Where possible, analytics information is considered in an aggregated or otherwise limited form.

Security and risk management technologies

Cookies and similar technologies may be used to help detect suspicious activity, protect accounts, manage sessions and support responsible security controls. These tools may assist with identifying unusual behaviour, preventing misuse and maintaining a safe online environment. Security technologies may operate regardless of whether optional analytics or marketing cookies are accepted.

Advertising and marketing technologies

Where used and permitted, advertising or marketing technologies may help measure campaigns, understand how visitors arrive at the website, or present information that may be more relevant to their interests. Such technologies may involve third-party providers and may use information about browsing activity across services. Wildcard Casino does not use cookies to remove the need for applicable age, identity, account or regulatory checks.

First-party and third-party cookies

First-party cookies are set by the website you are visiting. Wildcard Casino may use them to support website operation, security, preferences and service performance. Third-party cookies are set by a domain other than the website you are visiting. They may be used by service providers that deliver analytics, security, technical, advertising or other website functions.

Third-party providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy notices and policies. Their use of cookies may be subject to terms that are separate from this policy. We encourage you to review the relevant third-party information before accepting optional cookies or using linked services. Wildcard Casino does not control every third party's technology, settings or privacy practices.

A cookie may be a session cookie or a persistent cookie. Session cookies generally expire when you close your browser or end a browsing session. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period or until they are deleted. The period for which a cookie remains active can vary depending on its purpose, settings and the provider that places it.

Your cookie choices

Where a cookie preference tool is available, you can use it to review or change your choices for optional cookies. You can usually accept all optional cookies, reject optional cookies, or select categories according to your preferences. Essential cookies may not be available for rejection because they are required to provide requested website functions.

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block cookies, delete stored cookies, receive alerts when cookies are being placed, or allow cookies only from selected websites. The steps differ between browsers and devices, so you should check the help or privacy settings for the browser you use.

Deleting cookies may remove saved preferences and may require you to sign in or repeat selections.
Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the website from working correctly.
Changing browser settings on one device may not change settings on another device.
Some technologies may require separate controls, including settings provided by a device, operating system or third-party service.
If you clear your browser storage, the website may ask for your cookie preferences again.

Your choices about cookies do not replace other controls relating to online gambling, account access, privacy, marketing communications or responsible gambling. Those controls may be available through separate account settings, website features or policies.

Privacy, data handling and contact

Cookie information may be combined with other information that Wildcard Casino holds about your use of the website, subject to applicable law and the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. Depending on the technology and the way the website is used, information collected through cookies may be linked to an account, device, browser or online activity. We take reasonable steps to handle personal information securely and in accordance with applicable Australian privacy requirements.

The Privacy Policy provides further information about the types of personal information that may be collected, why it may be used, how it may be disclosed, how it is protected and how privacy enquiries or requests may be made. If there is an inconsistency between this Cookies Policy and the Privacy Policy about the handling of personal information, the Privacy Policy will apply to that issue unless stated otherwise.

If you have a question about cookies, privacy or your preferences, you can use the available support or privacy contact option on the Wildcard Casino website. Please do not include unnecessary sensitive information in an enquiry. We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request concerning an account or personal information.

By continuing to use the website after reviewing any cookie notice, you acknowledge that cookies may be used in accordance with your selected preferences and this policy. You can change optional cookie choices at any time through the available preference controls or your browser settings.
